91²Ö¿âSchool of Music to Celebrate First Performance in New Goldfarb Center for Performing Arts

MACOMB, IL - - The 91²Ö¿â School of Music will mark a historic milestone during Homecoming weekend with its School of Music Celebration Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, in the Great Hall of the new Goldfarb Center for Performing Arts.
In addition to performances by current 91²Ö¿âstudents, the School of Music is inviting 91²Ö¿âMusic alumni to return to campus and participate in this historic occasion. In addition to cheering loudly in the audience, interested alumni may have the opportunity to play/sing on the new stage. 91²Ö¿âMusic alumni interested in participating in the concert should complete the 91²Ö¿âSchool of Music Celebration Concert Alumni interest
The Celebration Concert will be the first School of Music performance in the new Goldfarb Center, offering students, alumni, faculty, community members, and guests an opportunity to experience the highly anticipated facility while celebrating the continued legacy of music at WIU.
The concert will feature performances by the four major School of Music ensembles: the 91²Ö¿âWind Ensemble, University Singers, Jazz Studio Orchestra, and Symphony Orchestra, presenting a diverse "collage" of musical styles.
With nearly 900 seats, the Great Hall provides an opportunity for the 91²Ö¿âand surrounding communities to experience the School of Music's ensembles in the new state-of-the-art performance facility.
